The Opportunity

Step into a role that enhances the technology experience for our staff and the community we support. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a central role in supporting and improving the systems that power our Property, Rating, Asset Management and Work Management portfolios.

You'll join a collaborative team who work closely with internal stakeholders across the organisation. Your work will directly contribute to smarter processes, better services, and improved user experiences.

You'll have the chance to work on a variety of meaningful system enhancement projects. Once a year, depending on operational requirements such as system upgrades this role may require weekend or overtime.

This is a permanent full-time position. Salary from $99,044.09 up to $116,251.58 per annum, plus superannuation, (Salary package will be assessed based on skills, experience and qualifications).

What you will be doing

In this role, you will:

  • Support and enhance our enterprise ERP (OneCouncil) across key Infrastructure + Land modules such as Property & Rating, Asset Management, and Work Management.
  • Lead and contribute to system upgrades, enhancements, and integration work, ensuring operational continuity and high‑quality user experience.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and system improvements.
  • Design and maintain data flows, ETL processes, dashboards, and reports that enable evidence‑based decision‑making.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, prioritising effectively to balance competing demands.
  • Manage system configuration, access, data integrity and governance.
  • Provide subject‑matter support, guidance, and training to users across the organisation.
  • Contribute to our annual ERP upgrade through testing, preparation and implementation activities.

About you

You bring a blend of technical capability, analytical thinking, and a genuine desire to improve systems for the people who use them. You work independently, stay calm under pressure, and enjoy solving complex problems that make a real difference to service delivery.

What you'll bring to this role, both your technical capability and your approach to collaboration and problem solving:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (Business Systems, Information Technology) or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience supporting and improving enterprise systems (ERP or similar). Ideally within property, rating, asset or land‑related portfolios.
  • Advanced technical skills in SQL, ETL development, data modelling, and process automation.
  • An ability to understand business processes and convert them into practical, effective system solutions.
  • Strong communication skills that allow you to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences.
  • A commitment to teamwork, building strong working relationships, and collaborating effectively to achieve shared goals
  • Proven time‑management skills and confidence juggling competing priorities.
