You will work within a dynamic team environment in a mixed office and field-based role.
Your responsibilities will encompass a range of areas including animal control, public spaces, illegal dumping and parking.
Daily interaction with members of the public will require effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
About the role:
- Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) or demonstrated experience in an associated field.
- Eligible to obtain a Tranquiliser Firearms Permit
- Strong written communication, able to prepare clear reports for a wide range of audiences including for enforcement proceedings.
- Works well in a team, manages priorities effectively, and performs confidently without supervision.
- Excellent verbal communicator who can stay calm and effective in conflict situations.

We are seeking:
- Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) or associated field (or a willingness and commitment to obtain qualification within 18 months of commencement).
- Eligible to obtain a Tranquiliser Firearms Permit
- Skilled in investigative techniques, with a sharp eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong written communication, able to prepare clear reports and compile evidence for court.
- Works well in a team, manages priorities effectively, and performs confidently without supervision.
- Excellent verbal communicator who can stay calm and effective in conflict situations.

This position is based in Murwillumbah, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
