Position Type 
Permanent full time 

Salary
$73,479 to $82,284 per annum (based on 76 hours per fortnight), plus superannuation. Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.

About the role
Following satisfactory completion of training the successful applicant will be responsible for the daily, on-going operations of Hornsby Council’s Aquatics and Sport stadium facilities. This includes overseeing aquatic plantroom operations, supporting both the aquatics and sports stadium teams, cleaning, customer relations, first aid and / or incident response, on deck pool lifeguarding duties and providing coverage in the absence of the Operations Supervisor. This role will include weekend work.

Position requirements
•    Willingness to learn and gain experience with plant and facility operations under the guidance of Operations Supervisor
•    Ability to work under pressure
•    Basic computer literacy
•    High level of professional presentation and interpersonal skills
•    Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

About you
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic person with excellent communication skills. You will have the ability to support aquatic and recreation processes and oversee, instruct and help aquatic and recreation staff with training and education and programs/bookings set up.
Your new role will require you to have the following criteria:
•    Demonstrate a can-do attitude with high customer service and team support skills
•    Can work in busy and high demand environments applying trained skills when and where required
•    Demonstrate computer software skills and knowledge
•    Willingness to complete Pool Lifeguard in the first 3 months
•    Current Advanced Resuscitation Certificate
•    Current First Aid Certificate
•    Current Working with Children Check
•    Willingness to complete Aquatic Technical Operations course within 12 months
