Are you ready to make a hands-on impact in your community? Camden Council is seeking a motivated and reliable Civil Construction and Maintenance Operative to join our Community Assets Division. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the upkeep and development of vital civil infrastructure across the Camden Local Government Area.
As a Civil Construction and Maintenance Operative, you'll play a key role in delivering civil construction and maintenance activities. From road repairs and stormwater works to concreting and traffic control, your work will directly benefit the Camden community. You'll be part of a supportive team environment, undertaking physical labouring duties and operating plant and equipment to complete a variety of civil projects.

What we're looking for?
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrated ability in general labouring duties relevant to Civil Construction and Maintenance activities such as installing concrete assets, road maintenance, stormwater and drainage, asset repairs, signage maintenance, and emergency response.
- Demonstrated ability to operate minor plant and equipment associated with construction and maintenance work.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision and a commitment to working in a cohesive team environment and multiskilling.
- Basic numeracy and literacy to perform basic administrative duties.
- Ability to make decisions and act with initiative to identify and solve basic problems
- Demonstrated ability to apply WHS and EEO principles at the workplace.
- WHS General Induction Certificate.
Desirable Criteria:
- MR or HR class driver's licence.
- Traffic Controller qualification (TCR).
- Any of backhoe, loader, excavator, skidsteer, roller, tractor, or truck driving experience.
