The primary aim of the Applications Services Team (and therefore of this position) is to maintain Council’s corporate applications and to support users in the effective use of these applications. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation and functionality of various software applications used by the Council, providing technical support to users, and assisting in the implementation of new applications and updates. The Applications Services Officer will work closely with different departments to understand their needs and provide solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency.

$75,243 to $116,755 per annum (based on 70 hours per fortnight), plus superannuation and a 9 day fortnight. *Effective 13 July 2026 an award increase of 4% will apply. Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.

About the role
The Applications Services Officer supports and maintains Council's corporate business applications, including enterprise systems such as TechnologyOne and other key Council platforms. The role ensures applications are reliable, secure and effectively utilised to support the delivery of Council services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing Level 2 support for Council's corporate business applications.
- Working collaboratively with business users, vendors and internal Technology & Transformation teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining user access, customer records and application data, with a strong focus on accuracy, privacy and security.
- Supporting staff and key users through troubleshooting, documentation, training and practical advice.
- Assisting with system enhancements, upgrades, testing and implementation activities.
- Performing system administration and application maintenance tasks.
- Contributing to the ongoing improvement of business processes and digital solutions.
Position requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 2 years' experience supporting and administering enterprise business applications.
- Experience delivering system enhancements, upgrades or technology related projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of enterprise systems (preferably TechnologyOne), Property & Rating, system integrations, APIs and data management processes.
- Experience working with stakeholders, vendors and support providers to achieve business outcomes.
- Well developed analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline are desirable.
- Relevant vendor certifications will be highly regarded.
Licences
- Current Class C Driver Licence.
