Accounts Payable Coordinator (Re-Advertised)

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-driven Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our high-performing Finance team and play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial services to Council.
This is more than just processing invoices, it’s an opportunity to take ownership, drive improvements, and support a collaborative team environment where your expertise will truly make an impact.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable transactions across Council
  • Prepare reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Provide financial information and support to the broader Finance team
  • Lead, mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and collaborate across business unit
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency

About you:

We’re seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings both technical capability and a proactive mindset. You will have:

  • Qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Experience supervising or mentoring staff (highly desirable)
