As Infrastructure Strategy Team Leader, you’ll sit at the intersection of strategy, growth and delivery influencing major city-shaping projects like the South Bridge (4th river crossing) and future-focused planning around key infrastructure and growth precincts. You’ll help set the direction for infrastructure that supports a safer, better connected, more liveable region and you’ll see your work become real in the community.

 

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Leading the development of strategic infrastructure, transport and traffic plans that support sustainable growth across the region

  • Driving concept designs, business cases and funding submissions for future infrastructure projects

  • Partnering with State agencies, consultants, developers and internal teams to deliver integrated, community-focused outcomes

  • Shaping transport, traffic and road safety solutions that balance growth, safety and liveability

  • Leading and developing a small, professional team while fostering collaboration, innovation and high performance

 

What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a relevant tertiary qualification with extensive related experience
  • Demonstrated experience in infrastructure design, transport, traffic and strategic planning, preferably in a local government context
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working alongside State agencies, consultants and developers

  • Proven leadership and people management capability, with the ability to guide, mentor and influence

  • Well-developed communication, analytical and report-writing skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities

We would also love you to have:

  • Post Graduate qualifications in Traffic Management, Engineering and/or Management disciplines.

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $104,751 to $132,086. A leaseback vehicle is also available.
