As Infrastructure Strategy Team Leader, you’ll sit at the intersection of strategy, growth and delivery influencing major city-shaping projects like the South Bridge (4th river crossing) and future-focused planning around key infrastructure and growth precincts. You’ll help set the direction for infrastructure that supports a safer, better connected, more liveable region and you’ll see your work become real in the community.

You’ll make an impact by:

Leading the development of strategic infrastructure, transport and traffic plans that support sustainable growth across the region
Driving concept designs, business cases and funding submissions for future infrastructure projects
Partnering with State agencies, consultants, developers and internal teams to deliver integrated, community-focused outcomes
Shaping transport, traffic and road safety solutions that balance growth, safety and liveability
Leading and developing a small, professional team while fostering collaboration, innovation and high performance

What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a relevant tertiary qualification with extensive related experience
Demonstrated experience in infrastructure design, transport, traffic and strategic planning, preferably in a local government context
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working alongside State agencies, consultants and developers
Proven leadership and people management capability, with the ability to guide, mentor and influence
Well-developed communication, analytical and report-writing skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities

We would also love you to have:

Post Graduate qualifications in Traffic Management, Engineering and/or Management disciplines.

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $104,751 to $132,086. A leaseback vehicle is also available.
