Salary

$39,779 to $44,563 per annum (based on 42 hours per fortnight), plus superannuation.  Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience

About the role

Your new role will involve providing high-quality administrative and operational support to the Building Services team within Infrastructure Operations. Working as part of the Infrastructure and Major Projects Division, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of building maintenance, service coordination, procurement, records management, customer requests, reporting, and day-to-day administrative functions.

 

This position will support the effective operation of Building Services by assisting with the coordination of work requests, maintaining accurate records, preparing documentation, processing invoices and purchase orders, supporting meetings and action tracking, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. You will also contribute to improved administrative processes, consistent recordkeeping, and timely communication across the team.

 

The role requires a proactive, organised and customer-focused approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities, support operational staff, and maintain strong attention to detail. You will work collaboratively with team leaders, supervisors, trades staff and other Council teams to help ensure Building Services functions are delivered efficiently, professionally and in line with Council’s values of Serve, Trust, Respect and Innovate.

 

 

Position requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in secretariat, business studies or equivalent/or proven experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated high level of administrative experience with proven accuracy and attention to detail.
  • High level of discretion and sound judgement with confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with high work rate and volumes with high quality attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills with an approachable and helpful personality.
  • Good working knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office, Trim CRM, Kronos, Pathways, Fresh Service, Bookable, Asset Management Software etc.
  • Good critical thinking skills.
  • High organisation and time management skills.
  • Good knowledge in electronic business support applications (InfoCouncil).
  • Good knowledge in Record Management Documentation (TRIM)
  • Familiar with engineering and infrastructure terminology and outdoor work environments.
  • Local Government Experience (desirable)
