Salary
$66,303 to $74,250 per annum (based on 76 hours per fortnight), plus superannuation, and a 9 day fortnight. Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.

About the role
This position is responsible to the Parks and Recreation Service Unit supervisors and exists in order to:
- Assist in the maintenance of the treescape within Hornsby Shire
- Ensure that items of plant utilised in a safe and efficient manner
- Assist in the care and maintenance of plant equipment utilised including Elevated Work Platform, wood chipper and chainsaws
- Assist in maintaining a safe workplace
A high standard of service and safety is necessary as you will be required to take appropriate action in maintaining the urban treescape throughout the Hornsby local government area.
Position requirements
- Certificate III in Arboriculture - essential
- Current Class C drivers licence - essential
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card) - essential
- Advanced chainsaw training - desirable
- Current MR and / or HR drivers licence - desirable
- Safe Work near Powerlines - desirable
- Current Elevated Work Platform operators license - desirable
- Current Traffic Controller ticket - desirable
About you
To be successful, you will need to have Certificate III in Arboriculture and be able to work in a team environment. You will have good listening and the ability to maintain a good level of health and fitness to carry out the physical requirements of this role.
