Lachlan Visitor Information Centre is looking for a Temporary Tourism Officer (Maternity Relief) for 5 months. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Manager Tourism to increase tourism in the Shire and support the Manager with tourism and visitor information operations. The Tourism Officer (Maternity Leave) will assist the Manager Tourism in the delivery of the strategic actions within the Destination Management Plan.
This position will require working on weekends and may require working outside core business hours. This Temporary position can be Full-time or Part-time.
To be successful you will need Tertiary qualifications or experience in tourism or relevant industry, you will need to demonstrate strong communication skills and positive customer focus, including active listening, public speaking and report writing, Working with children clearance. You must also hold a Class C Driver Licence.

Benefits for you:
- The salary for Full-time is $2,871 to $3,086 per fortnight
- The Grade applicable to the position is Grade 9 within Council's Salary Structure
- Working 76 hours per fortnight with a rostered day off (9 Day fortnight) (if full-time)
- 3 weeks sick leave
- Employer Superannuation of 12%
- Employment is under the Local Government (State) Award
