We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Business Analyst with software experience. You will comfortable being in an ambiguous environment and be hands-on with stakeholders. A focus for this role is working with the organisation on process improvement and working within a small agile team.

About Rous 

Our new site will bring together all Council operations under one roof, creating a dynamic, collaborative, and future-focused workplace. Located on a spacious 71-hectare site, the facility has been designed with staff wellbeing, sustainability, and operational excellence in mind. Rous has an operational footprint covering 3,000km2. As a county council, we are responsible for providing three specific functions; bulk water supply, weed biosecurity and flood mitigation.

Your value proposition to us: 

  • Demonstrated skills and experience in Business Analysis to identify problems and opportunities including knowledge of related industry frameworks, modelling notations, analysis methods and project methodologies
  • Experience working on the design and implementation of large technology projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with business process management tools and techniques
  • Demonstrated experience working with multi-disciplinary teams at all levels of an organisation to effect change and deliver outcomes
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills with high-level attention to detail and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders to facilitate business improvements

Your average workday will be kept busy by: 

  • Gathering business requirements and mapping processes to identify gaps and opportunities and feed into the design and implementation of technology solutions
  • Developing and execute testing scripts, and facilitate and support UAT with the business  
  • Develop solution documentation for the business including Training documentation, procedures and system as-built documentation  
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Respectfully challenge the status quo and working to future proof council through embedding a process orientated continuous improvement culture.
