Salary
$59,237 to $66,061 per annum (based on 76 hours per fortnight), plus superannuation and a 9 day fortnight. Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.

About the role
Your new role will involve the operation of Council trucks and labouring duties as required, including;
- Drive Council trucks as requested in the day to day operation of Council projects
- Drive Council trucks in a professional manner
- Conduct daily inspection, in accordance with the Daily Inspection Report
- Use, care and maintain resources on a work site, including tools, plant, equipment and ensure materials are used in a safe, efficient and appropriate manner
- Ensure correct use, storage and security of tools, plant, equipment and materials at all times
- Undertake and promote positive and courteous dealings with Council staff, public and stakeholders
Position requirements
- Class MR drivers licence (essential)
- Construction White Card (essential)
- Confined Spaces Ticket (Watercart Drivers Only)
- Powerline Awareness Certificate (desirable)
- Traffic Control – Yellow Card and Blue Card (desirable)
About you
The Driver/Labourer role requires a person with good truck driving experience and who is physically capable of performing labouring tasks. Good listening and communication skills are essential to ensure directions and instructions are carried out safely, promptly and accurately.
The person is required to work a 38 hour week. Typically work will commence on site at 6:45a.m. Extended working hours may be required from time to time. The role is based at Council’s Thornleigh Depot, however the person will be required to travel throughout the Shire in the performance of the duties.
