Salary
$66,303 to $ 74,250 per annum (based on 76 hours per fortnight), plus superannuation and an RDO per fortnight. Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.

About the role
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Maintain reserves, playgrounds and sporting facilities to agreed standards
- Monitor the condition of sports grounds, playground equipment, park facilities and furniture and organise any necessary maintenance and/or repairs
- Prune / remove trees and shrubs within parks, reserves and on nature strips as required.
- Operate small plant and equipment
- Report any incidents or accidents in line with procedures (safehold or mechanical workshop)
- Lead a small team, assisting in staff performance management as required, including the annual appraisal/review process
- Observe and implement as appropriate all Council determinations including code of Conduct, EEO and WH&S
Position requirements
- Current MR drivers license (desirable)
- Current Class C drivers license (essential)
- Occupational Health and Safety Induction Certificate for construction work (essential)
- Current Chainsaw qualifications (desirable)
- Current Traffic Controller ticket (desirable)
- Current Basic First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- Chemcert training (desirable)
About you
The ideal candidate will have experience leading a small team, be forward-thinking, well organised, and capable of effectively prioritising tasks. This position is required to lead a crew and work towards maintaining safe and enjoyable facilities for the public in parks, reserves and sports grounds.
