Salary Range: $82,394 - $95,755 pa + superannuation

Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Children’s Services Coordinator to join our Children’s Services team on a term contract of up to two years. This is a rewarding opportunity to lead programs that support children’s physical, emotional, cognitive and social development within a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment.
In this role, you will coordinate and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate programs across multiple service streams, aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), My Time, Our Place (MTOP) and the National Quality Standards (NQS). You will play a key role in ensuring programs are accessible, inclusive and responsive to the diverse needs of children and families in our community, while supporting smooth transitions between service streams.
As a leader, you will mentor and support a team of educators, fostering a collaborative and professional culture focused on continuous improvement. You will work closely with families, colleagues and community partners to strengthen engagement, build trust and enhance service outcomes, while also contributing to operational planning, staffing, documentation and the Quality Improvement Plan.
This is a term contract position for up to two years and would suit a proactive, organised and compassionate professional who thrives in a leadership role and is committed to best practice in early childhood education and care. This position is located in the beautiful town of Coonabarabran, known as the Astronomy Capital of Australia, which is midway between Melbourne and Brisbane and is known for its beautiful landscape and stunning night skies. The town has medical services, excellent schools, a variety of sporting and social clubs and a thriving tourism Industry. With the nearby Warrumbungle National Park, which is also Australia’s first Dark Sky Park, there is plenty to do and explore whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation.
Selection criteria include:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification approved by ACECQA.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management certifications.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering programs in early childhood and/or out-of-school hours care settings.
- Knowledge of EYLF, MTOP, and NQF.
- Willingness to undertake ongoing training and professional development.
- Current NSW Class C driver’s licence.
