The Opportunity

As Property Services Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Wollongong City Council's property portfolio and service delivery. You will lead a team of approximately 10 property professionals across Statutory Property, Property Management, Commercial Leasing and CBD Parking, managing the full spectrum of Council's commercial property transactions, land acquisitions and disposals, and portfolio optimisation.

This permanent full‑time role offers a salary from $143,191 to $181,170 per annum plus superannuation, with the option of a motor vehicle equalisation allowance or a lease for private use of a motor vehicle. (Salary package based on skills, experience and qualifications.)

How you'll make a difference

You will set strategic direction, foster a high‑performance, customer‑focused culture, and drive continuous improvement across property operations.
Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading and motivating a multidisciplinary property team.
  • Overseeing commercial leasing, land acquisitions, disposals, and strategic portfolio reviews.
  • Providing expert advice, negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation and championing risk, safety and governance.
  • Delivering clear, executive‑ready reports and recommendations to support strategic decisions.

  • A relevant degree in property, economics or a related field, and a current driver's licence.
