Upper Lachlan Shire Council is seeking an experienced Records Management Officer to provide efficient and effective records, information management, and administration services to internal and external customers..
- 35 hour week on the basis of a 9 day fortnight
- Crookwell and Gunning Location
- Fortnightly RDO for work-life balance

- Salary range starts at $1298.84 - 1469.51 per week + superannuation (Grade 9 in accordance with Council's Salary System and the Local Government State Award

About the role
Stepping into this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that Council records are organised, accessible and securely stored, in compliance with relevant legislative requirements and regulations.
As Records Management Officer, your key accountabilities on will include:
- Manage and co-ordinate an efficient records and information management service to Council staff and external clients in line with legislation
- Assist with the implementation of relevant policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Provide advice and recommendations to senior management on the Records Management requirements of Council.
- Conduct searches for information and responding to GIPA applications. Assist in undertaking the functions of Council's Right to Information Officer in accordance with the GIPA Act.
- Provide high quality customer service to internal and external customers and processing of payments related to Council fees and services.
- Undertake arrangements related to coordination of burials and cemetery operations at Council operated cemeteries in the shire.
- Assist in undertaking a range of Administration support tasks including receipt of payments, taking calls, managing day to day office tasks

To be considered you will need to meet the below criteria:
- Certificate IV in Business Administration or Records Management or working towards it; Contemporary knowledge and demonstrated experience in providing high quality administration and customer service support.
- Demonstrated experience in records management using electronic document management system for example HP Content Manager.
- Knowledge of State Records Act 1998 and the demonstrated ability to use a General Retention and Disposal Authority for Local Government.
- Competent in using various Microsoft Office suite programs
- Demonstrated experience in delivering records management training.
- Current Class C Drivers Licence.
