About us
Narrandera Shire is in the Riverina region of south-western New South Wales. It includes the town of Narrandera and the villages of Barellan, Grong Grong and Binya. The Position
The Deputy General Manager will lead the Corporate and Community Services Directorate, managing around 35 staff across finance, IT, governance, community services and customer support. Reporting to the General Manager, the role involves guiding budget planning, financial reporting, service delivery, and organisational performance. You will help shape council culture, improve service delivery, and ensure teams operate efficiently and effectively.

About You
We are looking for a confident people-focused leader who can inspire and motivate staff, develop teams from within, and foster a culture of collaboration. Experience in senior management, ideally in local government or a large private organisation, is essential. You should have a proven record of improving processes, leading change, and building strong working relationships. A relevant degree, Class C driver’s licence, and clear criminal history check are required.
