Find purpose and impact

As our new Waste Water Treatment Team Leader you will make an impact supervising the Treatment Technicians team in their daily roles, enabling the provision of a safe, quality water supply and sewerage services to Dubbo community. The role ensures the efficient production and treatment of potable water to conform to the NSW Health and Dubbo Regional Council’s Drinking Water Management Plan ensuring industry best practice conditions are met.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Leading the team through daily operations of the water treatment plant and sewerage treatment plant to meet requirements of the relevant authorities
  • Supervising the operation of the waste water treatment assets
  • Monitoring all Sewerage activities with the use of Council’s SCADA/Telemetry System
  • Maintaining accurate and current computer databases and schedules related to the production, testing and distribution of waste water
  • Participating in an ‘On call roster’ for responding to service failures via SCADA Alarms after hours and on weekends
  • Providing support for projects across the Water Supply and Sewerage Branch

 

What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate IV Water Operations (Treatment) or a willingness to obtain with two (2) years
  • Experience in the operation of supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA)/telemetry)
  • Proficient administrative skills demonstrating a competent level of literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills.
  • High level of communication skills
  • Current NSW C Class licence
  • Demonstrated experience in supervision and leadership of a small team

We would also love you to have:

  • Confined space certification

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $78,691 to $91,453.
