This dynamic role is key to connecting the community with Council’s vibrant facilities—like centres, halls, and performance venues—by making booking processes simple and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment. You'll work closely with a range of teams, community groups, and local businesses, using modern systems to streamline services and support exciting programs and events. With a focus on continuous improvement and community impact, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference.
What's on offer:
- a base salary ranging from $34 per hour with performance-based increments up to $38 per hour plus 12% super
- a maximum-term contract up to 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to 3 years subject to performance, funding and operational need

We are seeking:
- Provide efficient administrative support for Council-owned community facilities, ensuring smooth booking processes and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Use advanced business applications—including databases, Microsoft Office, and desktop publishing—to manage records and support facility operations.
- Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, working independently or collaboratively to resolve issues and support programs.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills and initiative to balance competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Hold relevant experience in administration or facility management and a current car licence to support role requirements.

Where it's located:
This position is based in Tweed Heads South, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
