About the Role
We are looking for a strategic and forward-thinking leader to help shape the future of Ryde and its community. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance and regulatory best practice is adapted to the evolving needs of the public.
Lead, develop and inspire a team of 5 senior leaders working on a range of complex matters within the Development and Regulation portfolio. Your ability to drive and contribute to strategic direction will be key whilst enhancing services across Council. You will have the opportunity to bring your team towards the future vision of the group and use your initiative to motivate high engagement and performance.
Our opportunity will see you working across all aspects of compliance and regulatory requirements whilst using your initiative to uplift the way we work - enriching the experience of the community.
About You
You will be driven to succeed, a leader who can build and mentor high performing teams to the next level. Your expertise working in sustainable property, development or similar will be pivotal, creating strong strategic partnerships whilst driving solutions.
Your style will be influential in approach, understanding the social, political and legal frameworks within Local Government.
In addition, you will also have:
- Demonstrated and extensive experience at a senior level in the management of a broad range of disciplines, such as Circular Economy issues, Development Assessment functions, Health, Building, and Regulatory Services and Development advisory services.
- Proven experience with financial management, including managing budgets and forecasting
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as sustainability property or development, and/or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Proven ability to envision and articulate a clear, long-term vision for the organisation or a specific area, strategically identifying opportunities and threats while developing data-driven strategies to capitalise on strengths and mitigate risks.
Your commencing annual salary range will be negotiable for the right applicant, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
