Traffic and Transport Officer

• Permanent part-time (21 hours pw)
• Grade 15 in the range of $55.921.32 to $64.875.72 + 12% super

We are not your typical council. We are a small boutique council in the heart of Sydney metropolitan area. An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced Traffic and Transport Officer to join our team.

About the role:
This role contributes to the overall efficiency of Council’s traffic management systems and your general responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing traffic management plans:
This includes designing new traffic facilities and maintaining existing ones.

• Undertaking research and analysis:
Gathering data on traffic patterns, accident statistics, and community needs to inform decision-making.

• Preparing reports and recommendations:
Creating documents like briefing notes, business cases, and submissions related to traffic and transport matters.

• Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders:
Working with engineers, planners, community groups, and other relevant parties.

• Managing projects:
Overseeing the implementation of traffic and transport projects, including budgeting, timelines, and resource allocation.

• Promoting sustainable transport options:
Encouraging walking, cycling, and public transport use through various initiatives.
