Community Business Team Leader

THE POSITION:

The Community Business Team Leader manages the day-to-day operations of Fairfield City HQ, including its administrative and financial activities. You will work to improve the visual quality, general amenity, and activation of the space.

A key part of the role involves seeking innovative partnership opportunities with industry, government, and professional stakeholders to further develop creative spaces and small business enterprises at FCHQ.

You will also be responsible for promoting the space and its services to both new and existing customers through various channels such as events and programs, networking activities, managing online communication platforms and social media, creating and distributing relevant content, and building strong relationships. Cross-departmental and stakeholder collaboration is essential to deliver a premium experience to internal and external customers and to ensure business goals are met efficiently and effectively.

The role requires considerable independent judgment and initiative.

ESSENTIAL:

  1. Relevant qualifications and experience in community engagement, social media, hospitality, customer service, marketing, sales, event or facility management, or business operations.
  2. Proven leadership skills to motivate teams and maintain a positive, productive work environment, ensuring deadlines are met.
  3. Strong customer service focus with a commitment to excellence.
  4. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build partnerships and deliver collaborative services and events.
  5. Ability to prepare reports, grant submissions, operational plans, and policy documents.
  6. Knowledge of current marketing and media practices to effectively collaborate with communications teams on campaigns and engagement.
  7. Experience growing and diversifying customer bases by offering targeted services, programs, and quality support.
  8. Skill in creating collaborative environments through events and programs to maximise space hire and meet profit goals.
  9. Valid Class C Driver’s Licence.

SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:

· Permanent position, 70 hours per fortnight

· This position is a Grade 6, salary range is $95,321 p.a. with progression to $107,320 p.a. on demonstrated competencies, with performance progression to $111,656 p.a.

· Flexible working hours are available.
