About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic professional to join the City of Ryde as a Development Contributions Officer. In this strategic position, you will assist in the coordination and management of development contributions and planning agreements.
As Development Contributions Officer, you will be part of a dynamic team who are responsible for implementing and managing the best practice assessment, collection, and monitoring of development contributions and planning agreements. You will provide strategic advice to the Chief Property Officer, Development Contributions Coordinator and senior staff on development and infrastructure matters.
Your role will also assist in policy development, process optimisation, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices regarding development contributions.
All necessary training and mentoring will be provided to support you in this role.
About You
This role is suitable for candidates with a town planning, engineering, development or similar background. You will have a sound understanding of the NSW planning framework and good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. Your strategic thinking and experience identifying process improvements will allow you to effectively manage development contributions and planning agreements, ensuring the City of Ryde achieves the best possible outcomes for the community.

- Tertiary qualifications in either town planning, business, property, engineering, law, or a similar discipline or have extensive practical experience in similar fields.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and associated legislation, particularly in relation to Section 7.11 and Section 7.12 development contributions and planning agreements.
- Ability to review and improve processes and procedures to achieve delivery improvements.
