About the Role

We are seeking a highly professional and experienced Injury Management and Wellbeing Coordinator to join our Work Health and Safety team on a temporary 12-month basis to cover parental leave.

Reporting to the Senior Coordinator, Safety and Wellbeing, you will play a key role in managing the end-to-end injury management process, including complex and litigated workers' compensation claims. You will also lead the delivery of proactive wellbeing initiatives that support a healthy and safe workforce.

About You

We are seeking a highly experienced injury management professional-ideally with a background in local government or a comparable industry-who can step confidently into the role and ensure seamless continuity of service.

In addition, you will also have:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety, Injury Management, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
  • Current Return to Work Coordinator certification.
  • Extensive experience in workers' compensation and injury management, including management of complex and litigated claims.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and coordinate return to work plans in consultation with injured workers, managers, and medical practitioners.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with Coordinators, staff, and external providers.
  • Proven ability to manage a wellbeing budget and deliver health and wellbeing initiatives across a diverse workforce.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports, presenting to senior leaders, and handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with sound judgement and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Salary: $95,322.42 to $123,919.15 per annum + Superannuation dependent on your experience and qualifications.
