About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join the City of Ryde as a Senior Strategic Project Manager. In this role you will manage the initiation, implementation and project coordination for key strategic projects. You will also be responsible for managing the redevelopment of three large scale strategic developments, along with the delivery of up to three town centre master plans.

Reporting to the Chief Property Officer you will lead the identification, feasibility studies, business case development and due diligence investigations relating to strategic large scale development projects and master planning, to meet project outcomes and to address Council and community requirements.

About You

As a senior strategic project manager, you will have significant experience in managing multi-disciplinary projects and be able to facilitate engagement with internal and external stakeholders to drive Council's key projects and to ensure outcomes are achieved within Council's long-term strategic plan.

In addition, you will also have:
  • Degree level qualification in project management, law, planning, property development, architecture, urban design, strategic land use planning or extensive equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in managing project finances and budgets, along with direct accountability for budget performance and project delivery.
  • Wide ranging strategic planning, urban design, property development, technical knowledge and experience formulating and implementing innovative project management solutions.
  • Proven conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret information from different sources to pro-actively identify issues and risks and formulate strategies to address them.
Your commencing annual salary will range from $149,361 to $165,251 + Superannuation, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
