About the Role
The objective of the position is to provide project secretarial and administrative support to the Executive Officer - City Places and to members of the City Places Team. The role includes the timely issuing of Section 10.7 Planning Certificates to customers, including managing refunds, responding to customer queries via phone and email, and liaising with Council's IT department to report any issues that impact the efficient operation of Council's systems.

Additional duties encompass typing reports, letters, advertisements, and large documents, preparing PowerPoint presentations, updating databases, handling Development Control Plans and Local Environmental Plans, responding to enquiries, organising meetings and catering, accurate minute-taking, distributing information to the Council, processing requisitions and invoices, and participating in department meetings. The role also requires assisting team members with project delivery and undertaking other duties as needed.
About You
The preferred candidate will possess strong organisational and time management skills, demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and have a proactive approach to problem-solving. A commitment to providing high-quality customer service and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential.

In addition, you will also have:
  • Experience in providing an administrative support services at a management level
  • Process good typing/keyboard skills with high level of accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Experience in word processing and data entry
  • Experience in programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in office management
  • Experience in recording minutes of meetings
  • Experience in processing invoices
  • Knowledge of and commitment to WHS and EEO principles
  • Strong team work approach
  • Prior experience processing planning certificates is desirable but not essential
Your commencing annual salary will range from $64,354.77 to $74,007.99 + superannuation, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
