$87,768 - $107,277 + employer super up to 14.5% plus a nine-day fortnight + no debit – no credit personal leave + ability to negotiate flexible work arrangements

West Tamar Council have an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about undertaking the statutory duties of a Building Surveyor, including liaising with the public, providing advice on building surveying and to improve the efficiency of the building control service provided by Council. 

Do you possess the following skills?

  • Current licence as a Building Surveyor - limited or unrestricted (or suitable progress towards completion of a qualification).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Building Act 2016 and associated Regulations, the National Construction Code and Australian Standards.
  • At least four years building surveying experience or demonstrated experience in a relevant field (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organise work in line with organisational goals and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to think, analyse and consider the broader context to develop practical solutions.
  • High level of communication skills and ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Essential to hold a current driver licence.
  • Hold current white card (or to be obtained prior to employment).
