The General Counsel will be a key member of Council’s executive leadership team, providing advice to the executive and Council staff on the range of legal areas related to Council’s operations. Administrative and para-legal support is provided.
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience providing advice in high pressure environments across Local Government and Planning Law, the Local Government Act, Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Food Act, Protection of the Environmental Operations Act, Companion Animals Act, Roads Act, and other relevant Acts where Council has power to prosecute or take enforcement action.
