The Package: The CFO (Manager Finance) will be employed under the LG (State) Award with a Total Remuneration Package (TRP) starting at $192,000 (following Award increase) inclusive of vehicle allowance, overtime allowance, supplementary allowance and 11% superannuation.

Position Overview: The Chief Financial Officer is a senior leadership position primarily responsible for developing and enabling Council’s financial strength and performance through effective financial management, accounting and reporting aligned to Council’s business objectives.
This involves managing and leading resources (people and financial) effectively and in accordance with Council’s policy, budget and processes. This will also include managing assets and risks in accordance with asset plans, risk framework, policies and process. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to have direct involvement in supporting Council’s financial performance through strategic decision making, enhancing processes and systems and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and reporting. This role is required to lead a team of 22 finance professionals with four direct reports.
Who we are looking for: The successful candidate will have a CA / CPA qualification and professional experience in strategic financial management. The successful candidate will be a forward thinking, strategy-oriented individual with strong capability in managing challenging scenarios. Proficiency in leadership and business acumen is also highly desired for this role.
