What does a Royal Life Swimming and Water Safety Teacher do?
- Equipped with specialised skills, Teachers will provide essential swimming and water safety tuition
- Engage with small group classes to encourage and motivate participants whilst they gain an invaluable life skill
What do you need to apply for this opportunity?
- Access to a computer and the internet
- Reasonable level of fitness and swimming ability
- Must be an Australian citizen/permanent resident humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen
- Aged 15 years or older
- No longer at school

What will the training involve?
- Self-paced online training
- 1 day face to face practical workshop
- Complete trial teaching hours at Enfield Aquatic Centre
What commitment will you need to make?
- Time to complete training
- Upon successful completion of training, commit to a minimum of 2 weekday afternoon shifts per school term for a 12 month period
- Obtain a Working with Children Check through Service NSW, simple online form (approx. $80)
If successful & once qualified:-
- Be employed as a Casual Learn to Swim Instructor at Enfield Aquatic Centre
- Be paid a minimum of $34.67 per hour plus Superannuation at 10.5%
- Potential for inclusion in annual Performance and Development reviews, which can result in salary increases and access to development opportunities
