Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Payroll Officers
This casual position allows you flexibility and a great working environment in a dedicated team
You will receive between $41.18 and $44.47per hour (inc leave loading) + 10.5% Superannuation
This position will be for a period of 6 months with a possible extension

    Based on your skill level, here's some of what you may be doing:

    1. Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with Council policies, procedures, the Award and relevant legislation.
    2. Recommend changes and improvements for the payroll function as required.
    3. Undertake data entry of timesheets, leave, employee start up, employee exit information and other data entry as required.
    4. Assist employees with payroll queries.
    5 .Utilise, communicate and administer HR21 to enable effective use by the workforce, including assisting with passwords, the understanding of leave balances, pay history, leave applications and other areas as required.
    6. Keep up to date with payroll, financial and human resources changes effecting the position with regards to Council processes and policies, award changes and legislative changes in addition to payroll software changes.
    7. Identify and report on non-compliance and other payroll concerns in accordance with Council policies, procedures, the Award and relevant legislation.
    8. Assist the Payroll Supervisor in the processing of payroll, distribution of payslips, payroll deductions, reconciliations, maintenance of position codes and reporting relationships in CHRIS21, superannuation, provision of excessive leave correspondence, provision of tax correspondence, creation and communication of reports on payroll data and monitoring of leave and attendance among other areas.
