About the role
This position is responsible for the preparation of specialist landscape architecture and public domain advice to inform major projects such as the Parramatta Light Rail (PLR), to support workflows and the management of public domain strategies, investigations and projects to support the transformation of the City of Parramatta.
On a daily basis you will be providing landscape architecture expertise within a multidisciplinary environment and managing collaborative, design led processes and construction inspection oversight that integrate multiple functional objectives to deliver optimum outcomes for Council in relation to the Parramatta Light Rail (PLR) project.
About the person
The successful candidate should have previous experience in Landscape Architecture design and public domain construction inspection, as follows:
- Ability to effectively advocate for high quality outcomes across different disciplines and audiences
- Ability to foster strong and productive networks and working relationships
- Extensive operational experience within the landscape architecture industry (typically ten years plus)
- Tertiary qualifications in landscape architecture or equivalent
- It would be preferred but not essential for applicants to have local government experience.
