Blue Mountains City Council’s Environment Branch is a lead entity in environmental management, nature based recreation and tourism in Australia, and is looking to fill the role of Program Leader, Environmental Planning. Backed by a specialist team, this role will lead planning and management of visitor infrastructure (walking tracks and lookouts) in the City. Planning for the future is key and the position will manage development of strategic planning to improve visitor experience and environmental management across the City. Success in the role will ensure residents and visitors alike have safe and sustainable access to nature and the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area.
Applicants should have relevant qualifications and / or experience in open space or environmental management. The successful candidate will also possess demonstrated experience in strategic and land use planning, community engagement, and project and program management.
Salary: commencing at $4143.92 gross per fortnight.
