Canterbury Bankstown Council has realigned their City Assets Department and is now looking for a Manager Fleet to lead their team into the future.

You will be a proactive professional with experience in managing people through change and process improvement initiatives to develop a high performing team.

The Role:

The Manager Fleet provides direction, leadership and accountability to the Fleet Unit which is a key stakeholder in supporting the delivery of services to the community.

The role will develop leadership at all levels and ensure a customer-centric culture that oversees the daily operations of both programmed and reactive maintenance for our fleet, plant and equipment.

You will be responsible for leading collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure day-to-day services are aligned with strategic intent, community expectations, and with the customer at the centre of all decision-making.

The Manager Fleet will provide ongoing operational and strategic support to the Director to meet overall Department and Organisational obligations.

You will have:

•Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
•Current C Class Drivers’ Licence
•Demonstrated experience in leading and managing multi-disciplinary high performing teams within relevant field.
•Demonstrated experience in the development of leadership at all levels and performance management of team members
•Demonstrated experience and knowledge across several functional areas within relevant field and collaboratively working with internal/external stakeholders
•Demonstrated experience in change management, continuous business improvement and digital transformation of processes/operations
•Demonstrated skills in developing business unit plans and strategies to deliver services to budget and agreed service levels
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The Total Renumeration Package (TRP) range for this opportunity is dependent on skills and experience and has a commencing TRP of $137,532 (base salary $108,706 plus Car Allowance of $16,894.80 and 9.5% Super).
