About the role
Reporting directly to the Director Sustainable Communities, this role provides strategic leadership, management and advocacy to the Community and Cultural Services Group across: community planning and engagement, community programs, corporate planning library, museum and gallery services and lifeguard services, ensuring the effective delivery of organisational objectives.
The Group Leader Community and Cultural Services is a pivotal role, providing support and advice to the leadership of Coffs Harbour City Council in meeting the vision and objectives of the MyCoffs Community Strategic Plan. This will be achieved through the engagement of a high performing group and the ongoing growth and development of our people and processes.

You will have a Degree in a relevant field, ideally aligned to the community and/or cultural services sector as well as proven past performance with developing and managing high performing teams.
Your highly developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and develop strong relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders will prove essential to your success in this role.

Attractive salary package starting at around $160K per annum, with additional relocation assistance available for the right candidate.
