You will be responsible for managing Council’s Fire Safety Certificate/Statement obligations, and providing specialist fire safety advice into development applications.
You will work as part of Council’s Development Monitoring Team involved in undertaking a range of regulatory enforcement work but specialising in building fire safety. You will also investigate customer service requests and enforce acceptable standards of public health, safety and amenity.
Accredited building certifiers will have the opportunity to maintain skills and experience in building certification under Part 4A of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act.
You will have tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying and applied knowledge and personal experience across a range of regulatory, development and building certification issues including building fire safety, public health and environmental management.
You will be technically proficient, have a positive outlook, committed to providing excellent customer service and be able to demonstrate highly developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation and report writing skills
Salary: commencing at $3122.60 - $3438.80 gross per fortnight (depending on experience).
