Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Principal Advisor, Strategic and Business Analysis is responsible for implementing and managing a strategic financial analysis framework to assess the commercial viability and sustainability of Council. Working with and advising teams across the organisation, you’ll prepare and assess strategic business proposals to identify service delivery and performance improvement opportunities that increase the integrity and robustness of commercial business outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in a finance or business discipline, with membership of a professional accounting body and 10 years’ experience in a similar role. You’ll be able to demonstrate experience analysing business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and you’ll have extensive experience in leading cross-functional teams to embed processes and systems that increase business performance. You will need a strong working knowledge of accounting standards and excellent capability in financial modelling, as well as solid project management skills.
