Team Leader Sports Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities is a strategic role ensuring we meet our community’s expectations and effectively manage and administer the spaces and places used for these activities now and into the future.
Reporting to the Open Spaces and Facilities Manager - and part of Hamilton City Council’s wider Parks and Recreation Unit - this role has responsibility for a team of staff tasked with managing community groups’ leases, our sports parks, and other locations where organised and informal recreation occurs.
Effective management of relationships will be a key skill, and you’ll have a high-level understanding of the standards we need to meet in looking after our sports parks, recreation and community facilities across the city.
You’ll be in tune with the needs of sports parks, recreation and community facilities stakeholders, leasing, asset management and service delivery.
We need someone who is tactical and has experience within and awareness of the political environment, how it works and how to perform effectively within it.
The successful candidate will be across the challenges facing sports, recreation and community facilities nationally, now and into the future, and have experience managing, developing and leading a high-performing team of subject matter experts.
You’ll be relationship-focused and self-aware, innovative and collaborative.
The recruiting salary for this role would be negotiated for the right candidate.
