iSite Visitor Consultant - Ohakune
- Parental Leave Cover.
- Fixed Term for 12 Months.
- 30 hours per week / includes weekend work*
We are looking for a customer focused team player to join our busy Ohakune team. You will have a positive attitude and loads of enthusiasm ensuring the customer experience is exceptional as you will be expected to share and promote our district to visitors.
The successful applicant will have:
- Previous customer service experience.
- Local knowledge of the Ruapehu and surrounding regions.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate IT / digital platforms with confidence i.e. booking systems and databases.
- Experience in sales, cash handling and receipting.
- Ability to multitask under pressure.
Our Visitor consultants are required to hold or obtain National Certificates in New Zealand Tourism and be willing to experience the adventures our visitors come to enjoy. You must have a current driver's license.
Full training will be provided.

Compliance Officer - Taumarunui

Our Regulatory and Customer Services team is looking for a Compliance Officer to help educate, support and enforce regulations to ultimately keep our community safe.
If you enjoy varied work across areas such as animal control, motor vehicle and parking infringements, litter, noise control, environmental concerns and upholding local bylaws; this role will provide lots of challenges with complexity for you to deliver excellent customer service to our community.
The ideal applicant will have the following skills and attributes:
- Previous experience in a regulation or compliance role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interpret legislation, policies and procedures
- An agile learner and independent team member

Mayor's Taskforce for Jobs coordinator
We are seeking a passionate and proactive individual to join our team as a Community Connector / Youth Employment Navigator for the Mayor’s Taskforce for Jobs scheme. This full-time, one-year contract position is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about community and empowering young people to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with local employers to uncover job opportunities for youth.
- Work closely with job seekers and young individuals to guide and support their employment journey.
- Deliver and coordinate employment skills programs effectively.
Ideal Experience:
- Two to three years of experience in a community focused role or similar positions focusing on youth.
- Previous work within Ministry of Social Development contracts or similar programs will be highly regarded.
- Familiarity with Ministry of Social Development products and services is beneficial.
Skills:
- Coordination: Exceptional organizational skills with adeptness in using technology for managing schedules and appointments.
- Teamwork: Strong support and collaboration within the team to meet contract objectives.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, ensuring clarity and proactive engagements.
