Marine Engine Driver - MED1 or MED2

Based in Port Lincoln, Australian Tuna Fisheries / Stehr Group are seeking a motivated person to fill the following vacancy within our dynamic aquaculture company:
CASUAL/FULL TIME MARINE ENGINE DRIVER - MED1 or MED2
Contribute to the safe, efficient, and effective operation of the vessel through the provision of a broad range of skills and abilities related to the fish catching and fish husbandry processes.
The role:
- Responsible for the day to day running and maintenance of the vessel as directed, pre-checks, general start-ups, checks, record keeping, servicing, vessel crane and basic hydraulic repairs.
- Tuna fishing and towing operations within qualification limits
- Preparing vessel for sea under supervision from Vessel Maintenance Manager
- Feeding and harvest operations inshore
- General maintenance and upkeep of the vessel
- Ensure safety of self, vessel and others

Essential:
- Qualification as Marine Engine Driver Grade 1 or 2 (with experience)
- Sound knowledge of engineering and vessel maintenance and responsibilities
- Can diagnose problems and communicate them with ability to complete basic repairs as required
- Unsupervised servicing of machinery
- Understand and completes daily checks, record keeping is maintained and reporting of issues or faults is timely and accurate
- Relevant work experience in similar roles
