PLANT OPERATOR – GRADER / TECHNICAL TEAM LEADER – COOTAMUNDRA

Applications are now invited from interested persons for the above full time position of Plant Operator – Grader / Technical Team Leader to be based at our Cootamundra Depot.

This role is required to operate a Grader to undertake Council works as directed by the Works Supervisor and contribute to the manual labour pool with the Operations function.  This role is also required to provide guidance, instruction and direction for the purpose of achieving a key result for Council.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensure that all plant is operated effectively and efficiently to achieve Council’s goals and objectives.
  2. Ensure plant is operated safely when working in the proximity of overhead or underground utility services.
  3. Ensure that the civil works crew are operating and maintaining plant effectively and efficiently to achieve Council’s goals and objectives.
  4. Ensure that civil works crew are operating plant in a safe manner and following safe work method statement’s and manufacturer’s instructions.
  5. Ensure all Safe Work practices are followed including traffic control signage is appropriately positioned.
  6. Knowledge and understanding of capabilities of all civil plant and construction techniques.
  7. Ensure all appropriate records / forms / sheets are filled in correctly and / or electronic records data has been completely entered.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $1,228.69 – $1,437.50 gross per week
  • 11% super guarantee levy payable by Council
  • 9 day fortnight working arrangement

PD Plant Operator TTL – Grader PD

PAYROLL & HR OFFICER – (Full time)

Applications are invited from interested persons for the full time vacancy Payroll & HR Officer to be based at our Cootamundra Office.
This position will complete payroll processing on a weekly basis, taking into consideration award entitlements & interpretation. Whilst working collaboratively and flexibly within the Human Resources team providing experienced advice and support of a broad range of Human Resources matters and functions

Key responsibilities include:
1. Ensure Council employees are paid, in accordance with the terms and conditions of employment and in compliance with the Local Government (State) Award, industrial legislation and tax legislation.
2. Assist in the maintenance of the Human Resources and Payroll Information databases and employee records.
3. Ensure that Council’s compliance with statutory and legislative requirements relating to payroll, taxation, superannuation and workers compensation, is monitored and reported.
4. Prepare financial returns and reconciliations for payroll systems, including financial reporting of labour expenses.
5. Provide high quality administration services to the Human Resources and Payroll team with a focus on continuous improvement and quality customer service.
6. Ensure the confidentiality of employee information and records is maintained at all times.

Benefits
– Salary range of $1,349.09 – $1,578.59 gross per week
– 11% superannuation.
– 9 day fortnight working arrangement.
