Do you need to complete secondary level Work Experience in 2024?
 
The City of Boroondara is hosting a Work Experience program for local secondary students (usually in Year 10) with opportunities across Council for students keen to ‘test their interest’ and gain a practical insight into their chosen potential future career path.
 
Work experience provides a mechanism for introducing students to Local Government and supports our community via provision of learning opportunities for our local students.
 
The City of Boroondara will run two programs in 2024 with June and November intakes. We also welcome interest from students who may wish to undertake work experience in September.

Students must apply via the Apply Now link, please include:

  • a brief cover letter - nominating in order of preference the areas/s as well as dates you would like to undertake work experience in
  • resume (including any work or volunteer experience); and
  • the necessary work experience arrangement forms (these can be obtained from your school).

 
Please note that preference will be given to students within the Boroondara municipality.
 
Following the advertised closing date, and assuming applicants have provided all requested information, work experience students will be selected based on their application with consideration for the preferences nominated.
 
Applications close at 11:59PM on 19 April 2024.
