Casual Maternal & Child Health (MCH) Nurses

  • Casual position
  • Flexible hours available
  • $58.42 - $62.92 per hour plus 25% casual loading and Super

 

Reporting to the Maternal & Child Health Team Leader, this is an opportunity for Maternal & Child Health Nurses to work with our experienced, cohesive team of MCH Nurses at the City of Boroondara in casual roles. New graduates are welcome to apply.

 

Duties

  • Promote healthy outcomes for children and their families
  • Provide a comprehensive and focused approach to managing the physical, emotional or social factors affecting families in contemporary communities
  • Provide opportunities for social interaction of the parent and child
  • Provide families with timely, accurate and relevant information and resources to assist them achieve and maintain maximum health potential.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated clinical experience in Maternal & Child Health
  • Commitment to family centred practice within an integrated early years’ service mode
  • Awareness of child and family health issues, normal child development, family dynamics and promotion of maternal well being
  • Able to use computer systems, including Microsoft Word, Mircrosoft Outlook, and CDIS.

 

Qualifications & Employment Requirements

  • Post graduate qualification in Maternal & Child Health Nursing (Essential)
  • Registered General Division 1 Nurse & Midwife qualification recognised by AHPRA (Essential)
  • Current driver’s licence (Essential)
  • Satisfactory completion of a National Police Record Check & Working with Children Check
  • All City of Boroondara employees must be fully vaccinated. Appointment of the successful candidate will be subject to provision of evidence of vaccination status or medical exemption prior to commencement.
