As the Dubbo Regional Livestock Markets Operations Coordinator you'll grow your skills and career with responsibility for overseeing operations, compliance and business performance at what is considered one of the largest selling centres in Australia in terms of combined sheep and cattle numbers! Combining the diversity of outdoors and office based work, you'll lead a team and play a hands on role in ensuring a well maintained saleyards facility and engage with stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the facility, users, Council and the community. With the opportunity to lead a team and tackle a variety of interesting, diverse challenges you'll continuously refine your skills and build a dynamic career.
You'll find growth through:
- Providing saleyards services and facilities in accordance with access licence agreements and transit stock requirements
- Ensuring that regulations governing the handling, movement and welfare of livestock are observed along with associated biosecurity requirements
- Supervise staff and manage the work of contractors on maintenance and construction within the complex
- Ensuring the effective operation of the effluent disposal system, electronic weighing system, air systems and general operational equipment
What you'll bring
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Diploma qualification in Agriculture or Compliance discipline
- Experience in managing operational teams to deliver quality outputs
- Experience in asset maintenance and associated contract management
- Solid understanding of the concepts, principles and practical applications of animal husbandry and business operations
- Hold a firearms licence or demonstrated ability to obtain
We'd also love you to have:
- Working knowledge of EPA/biosecurity requirements in relation to livestock markets

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $88,171 to $102,468.
