The City of Sydney, one of Australia's premier Councils, has an opportunity for an experienced, hardworking and enthusiastic records and information management practitioner to become part our Data & Information Management Services Unit in the Document Services Team.
This position's primary responsibilities are to review, classify, register and assign incoming correspondence, in a high volume, time-sensitive environment based on an understanding of the City's functions and activities.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience as a document officer working in a digital records keeping environment; experience in processing the email inbox of local government is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated skills using an electronic records management system such as Micro Focus Content Manager or TRIM Records Manager.
- Qualifications in records and information management or equivalent experience; a degree is desirable.
- Demonstrated capacity to communicate clearly and effectively including writing appropriately and accurately.
- Sound computer skills
