The Southern Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils Inc (SSROC) is an association of 11 councils in the southern Sydney area. SSROC member Councils are collaborating on the delivery of the regional Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy 2014-2021. SSROC is now seeking to appoint an experienced and committed professional to become a key member of the Resource Recovery and Waste team.
Reporting to SSROC's Program Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- coordinating the participation of member Councils;
- managing a range of projects for groups of Councils;
- preparing grant applications; and,
- facilitating the delivery of project outcomes.
With appropriate tertiary qualifications, you will bring a deep understanding of and experience in resource recovery. You will have exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships across the region, with government departments and with the Resource Recovery sector. You will be a strategic and analytical thinker, a strong problem solver and will bring experience in project, change and budget management. You will join an innnovative, family-friendly team and will take a leading role in the delivery of projects and annual action plans. This is a full time contract till June 2021.
