The Role

Wollongong City Council is seeking a tech savvy and experienced team leader to join our team to enhance digital access and participation, so our community can learn, connect and grow.

This position supports customers and staff in the use of technologies for library services and learning. This includes support for the libraries’ technology spaces, investigation of new and emerging technologies, and in-depth support for relevant technology projects. You will play an important role in facilitating training, project management, statistical analysis of the library management system and support across the technologies provided by Wollongong City Libraries.

Leading a small but positive and energetic team, you will combine your great communication, technology and customer service skills to provide quality services. This role coordinates, manages and delivers technical support for all automated and networked library services and operations.

This is a full time position working 35 hours per week and will include day, night and weekend shifts as rostered. Initially located at Wollongong Central Library this position may be located at any of the branches within the Wollongong City Libraries dependant on requirements.

Under Part 2, Section 6 of the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012, this position has been designated as requiring a paid NSW Working With Children Check. Applicants are required to provide a NSW Working with Children Check application/clearance reference number to their application.
