- Salary $78,292.24 – $90,819.56 p/a + super

Reporting to the Team Leader – Corporate Risk & Assurance, we are seeking an experienced and self-motivated individual specialising in Risk Management in the Local Government or Construction sector.
Supporting the Risk and Assurance team, you will be well versed in the current Work Health & Safety Regulations, Workers’ Compensation & Rehabilitation Act, Codes of Practice, and legislative Standards. With this knowledge you will be capable of providing accurate guidance across high risk activities, through the development and implementation of strategies, policies and procedures, including risk assessments and SWMS.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills will enable you to interact fluidly with your direct reports and personnel at all levels of Council as you cover such areas as Risk, Civil and Public Liability, Worker’s Compensation, Return to Work and Insurance.
Intermediate computer skills are essential as you will maintain our Enterprise Risk Management System database and will be responsible for providing data for reports, submissions and audits, both internally and externally.
To be considered for this role you will hold tertiary qualifications in risk management, insurance or business and / or a minimum of 3yrs experience in risk management within Local or State Government or the Construction sector. A current Class C Driver’s Licence is essential.
This position is 35 hours per week with access to flexi time.
