Council is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Water and Sewer Attendant. Reporting to the Coordinator Reticulation, this position is responsible for assisting in the maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation of minor construction work and other works associated with the operation and maintenance of the water and sewer system.

The successful applicant will ideally possess a Water Industry Certificate level II and III or Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent qualification, or have appropriate experience and be prepared to obtain Water Industry Certificate level II, as well as the ability to demonstrate a flexible, efficient, and productive approach to changing work practices is essential to success in this role.

Other requirements for this role include -

  • Two (2) years' experience in construction and/or maintenance of water or waste water infrastructure and other relevant infrastructure

  • Demonstrated numeracy, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated computer literacy and keyboard skills and ability to effectively use mobile computing devices such as smart phones, tablets and laptop PC's.

  • National Construction Induction Certificate (White card)

  • Class MR Drivers licence
