The position will work out of Council’s Civic Centre and operates within our Financial Services Unit providing a rewarding and stimulating work environment, supported by a strong team and management.
Building a better team This position is responsible for effective communication relating to all debt recovery matters involving property owners in the shire, Solicitors, Sheriffs, Court House staff and other public offices, as well as internal staff.
The Credit Management Officer is required to prepare legal action for recovery of unpaid accounts to the highest degree possible by researching legislation, Court procedures and Council files as well as communicating with and directing Council staff and other interested persons and taking action in a timely manner.
The incumbent has to maintain, validate and confirm the accuracy of all professional costs, court costs, sheriff costs, mercantile agent costs and outside agents search costs.
